R. Scott McCoy is an IT Security Executive that writes when he can and get's as much published as possible.

He was born in Kodiak Alaska and raised in Bemidji, Minnesota. After graduation, he joined the Army. On active duty he was an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. Later he joined the Army Reserve and became an Interrogator/Russian Linguist and a Psychological Operations Specialist. He has a BA in Russian Area Studies from the University of Minnesota and a Masters degree in Management from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

He has been getting published since 2006 and has over 30 short story credits. He also has two short novels, Feast with Shroud Publishing and White Faced Bear with Belfire Press. Omnium Gatherum released his short story collection, Hunter's Moon: Visceral Tales of Terror in 2012. Scott is an Affiliate member of the HWA and former editor/publisher of Necrotic Tissue, a short fiction horror magazine.


He currently lives in the St. Croix River Valley with his wife, two daughters and three dogs.
